They needed tools that could move from outside the building to a location inside it and had a 1-Ton capacity.

The electric chain hoist would then be able to move along the monorail and out the dock door. The hook was lowered to the ground level with 45 feet of lift to retrieve equipment from the third floor. The crane was retracted inside the building when not in use.
